Waiting Time Policy

  • We totally understand sometimes it’s not possible to have an exact return time. To address this, we do allow some room for flexibility by allocating 15 minutes free waiting time on either side of your booking. We will require an estimated pick-up time for accepting any bookings.

  • Extra charges apply for any wait longer than 15 minutes on either side of the booking. If you need longer waiting times or are unsure of timings. We suggest for you to please refer & add extra waiting time options when booking your transfer. If you decide not to do so when booking, and the waiting time exceeds the allowed 15 minutes on either side of the booking - we then reserve the right to charge your card/payment details for the additional waiting time over allowed 15 minutes.

Transfer FAQs

Are transfers private? Yes! Your transfer is private to your group. No sharing with other passengers.

Can I bring children or a baby?

DYes! Children and babies are welcome. Under-18s aren't charged per person, but they still count towards passenger capacity.

If your child requires a car seat or restraint, you must supply your own. DDHV is happy to fit it into the vehicle for you.

How do I get a transfer quote? Click Book Transfer on our website, select your date and passenger numbers, and follow the booking process to see your total price in AUD.

What time will you pick me up? For restaurant and accommodation transfers, the times shown on our website are guidelines rather than guaranteed exact pickup times.

Select the closest available time when booking and we'll contact you to confirm the exact time required.

We're flexible and will do our best to accommodate your preferred timing.

When should I let you know I'm ready? For restaurant and other venue pickups, please message or call approximately 20–25 minutes before you expect to be finished.

This allows us to time your pickup so the driver can arrive around the time you're ready to leave.

Is there a pickup surcharge? Our Free Pickup Zone is within a 10km radius of the Hunter Valley Information Centre on Wine Country Drive, including Cessnock, Nulkaba, Pokolbin and Lovedale.

Outside this zone, an additional $2.50 per kilometre per direction applies.
